Mapuche Sikill Trapelakucha Necklace
Description
Available
Sikill Trapelakucha design necklace, originally a brooch used to tie the shawl or ikilla, which goes to the center of a woman's body. It represents the origin of life for the Mapuche people on earth and considers the three spaces that exist in the world in which we live: the world under the earth (Inche Mapu), place of ancestral spirits; the earth (Nag Mapu), place where life develops; and the sky (Wenu Mapu), place of superior spirits. The chains, plates, or tubes represent the space between earth and sky; it is a bridge between the earthly and spiritual, which translates into knowledge and wisdom that is constantly growing.
