Mapuche Sikill tube earrings

Description

Available

Sikill design, originally a brooch used to tie the shawl and worn on the side of a woman's body. It represents the origin of life for the Mapuche people on earth and considers the three spaces that exist in the world in which we live. The world under the earth (Inche Mapu) is the place of ancestral spirits; the earth (Nag Mapu) is the place where life develops; and the sky (Wenu Mapu) is the place of superior spirits. The tubes represent the space between earth and sky; they are a bridge between the earthly and spiritual, which translates into knowledge and wisdom that is constantly growing.
